Mrs. Bethany Skene

My name is Bethany Skene, and I have been working at Morrice Area schools for the past three years.  My first two years were spent in the role of Student Success Coordinator, and I have been the principal of the elementary school for the last year.  I graduated from Central Michigan University in 2003 with my teaching degree and began teaching middle school.  I decided to go back and get my Masters in reading and graduated from U of M Flint with a Reading Specialist degree.  I spent the next 13 years doing reading intervention before I came to Morrice as the Student Success Coordinator.  While in this role, I felt my next step to make the greatest impact on students was to go into administration.  I received my Administration Certificate in 2023 and began as principal the following year.
